We are deeply concerned by the shooting near the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville during Yom Kippur, which left a police officer injured.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the officer who was injured, his family, the responding officers, and Belleville’s Jewish community. Everyone deserves to worship safely and without fear.

This is an issue that should be a concern for all Canadians and not just the Jewish Community.
